Born Fally Ipupa Nsimba on 14 December 1977, he rose to prominence in the late 1990s with Talent Latent and as a member/leader within Quartier Latin before launching a successful solo career. He has won multiple international awards (including MTV Africa Music Awards), founded the Fally Ipupa Foundation for humanitarian work, and in 2026 achieved major milestones including topping the SNEP albums chart and selling out consecutive shows at the Stade de France.
