Formed in the early 1970s, Twisted Sister rose from the New Jersey/Long Island club scene to international fame with their 1984 album Stay Hungry and the anthems "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock." Frontman Dee Snider famously testified at the 1985 US Senate PMRC hearings; the band split in 1988, reunited for occasional performances, and completed a farewell run after the death of drummer A.J. Pero, officially stepping back following a 2016 farewell cycle.
