About
While we are still students, we are serious in our sound and have studied music for most of our lives, with most of us having started at the ages of 8 or even younger. The songs we play are original. We all have the same general musical background, listening to artists in the very broad category of "Rock". However, each of us has his own preferences that branch out in all directions, from Jazz to Blues to Reggae to Punk to Alternative to Progressive to Metal, and all the sub-genres in between. This allows us to create a unique blend of musical stylings and ideas that combines techniques and sounds from many different areas of music in general.
We hope this makes it almost impossible to label our group with a specific genre because we often expand songs by meshing ideas of all types. We cautiously call ourselves a jam band, but we have written everything from pop songs you would hear on the radio to soulful blues/jazz that you would hear at a party.
Our group came together as a result of our common love for music and our respective instruments, beginning with lazy afternoons where we would simply gather in a basement and play off whatever came to mind, and later developing into scheduled practices in which we began recording some of our spontaneous musical ideas. We have been playing together for nearly a year, meeting on a weekly basis at Dog House Recording Studio and performing throughout the summer of 2012.
Gigs have included: Boulder Creek Festival, 29th Street Concerts, Denver Music Festival, Taste of Louisville, Prospect Eats, Jamestown Mercantile, Herman's Hideaway and Waterloo. However you will soon be able to catch us on at both Herman's and Waterloo on a regular basis.
