About
Cody Hibbard is an American country music artist known for his authentic, "blue-collar" songwriting style that draws from his roots growing up on a farm and his years spent working as a pipeline welder. Born in South Korea, he was adopted by an American family at 13 months old. Raised on a 360-acre farm in Adair, Oklahoma, where he grew up tending cattle, raising chickens, hunting, and fishing. His sound is a unique blend of his father’s classic rock, his mother's Christian music preferences, and late 90s/early 2000s country.
Cody did not pursue music until age 27. While at a restaurant in Crockett, Texas, a server told him, "You don't sound how you look". After singing a few songs, the bar manager hired him on the spot.
