This 6-week, weeknight, evening pottery course in Fort Worth is designed for intermediate and advanced students looking to build their skills on the wheel!
**Please note, this class is exclusively for students who have a strong understanding of working on the wheel.**
Qualifications:
⭐ Can throw a minimum height of 6 inches
⭐ Can throw 3 identical cylinders in a row
⭐ Can cone a narrow necked form
Intermediate Students:
Our intermediate and advanced pottery class is designed for experienced students who can consistently center, throw tall, even forms and are comfortable with the wheel. Our intermediate and advanced pottery course will help you gain confidence and expand your skills. You’ll focus on precision and complexity—throwing and sizing different types of lids, creating large forms in multiple parts, learning new ways to trim and alter thrown forms.
What to Know:
For students who have a strong understanding of working on the wheel
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy (apron or towel encouraged)
Each weekly session includes a live demonstration, hands-on instruction, and individual guidance.
No make-up classes offered — you’re welcome to come in during open studio to work on your own
Course includes all supplies, including firing costs
Ages 14 and up
As a incentive to encourage practice, students enrolled in this course enjoy access to our Fort Worth ceramics studio whenever it’s open and no other classes are in session — giving you plenty of time to practice and create at your own pace!
