About

When a young Beethoven arrived in Vienna, his fiery virtuosity and expressive depth took the city by storm. This program offers a vivid portrait of Beethoven as a young composer-pianist. Performed on the type of Viennese fortepiano Beethoven knew and played, the program offers a rare glimpse into the sound world for which he composed. From sparkling wit to brooding intensity, audiences will

hear Beethoven's brilliance anew. Daniel Adam Maltz is a Vienna-based fortepianist specializing in Viennese Classicism. He is 'considered the foremost performer in the world of the fortepiano' by Aspen Daily News and performs in more than 50 cities each year as a recitalist, concerto soloist, director, Lied accompanist and clinician.
